Rachel is the firm’s Lobby Compliance Manager. She also provides support to the firm’s Alcohol Licensing/ Hospitality Practice.
She assists clients in completing reports required to be filed with the Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (COELIG) and the Office of the City Clerk, as well as with Suffolk County and Nassau County – both bi-monthly lobbyist reports and client semi-annual and annual reports. She also helps clients with setting up internal procedures for tracking their lobbying compensation, expenses, and activity to report to COELIG and/or the appropriate authority. She is able to assist clients with navigating the various filing requirements and reporting websites.
Rachel also provides the team with administrative support for a variety of liquor licensing projects. She has acquired an extensive understanding of New York State alcohol laws, rules, and regulations, for both on premise and off premise licensing, and uses this knowledge to benefit clients in navigating the multitude of requirements and restrictions governing liquor licenses. She oversees and supervises all hospitality and alcohol licensing related projects, including but not limited to New On Premise and Off Premise Applications, Corporate Change Applications, Alteration Applications, Class Change Applications, Endorsement Applications, Renewal Applications, and Permit Applications.
Prior to working at Shenker Russo & Clark, Rachel worked as a bookseller at Barnes & Noble and interned at two literary agencies in New York City. Rachel graduated from Hamilton College where she majored in English and Classical Studies. She also studied abroad in Rome, Italy for a semester.
